Hand-forged from solid 12mm round bar mild steel, this fire poker is designed for strength, balance, and everyday use by the hearth. Each piece is forged by hand and measures approximately 500mm in length, giving it a comfortable weight and control when tending the fire.
Finished with a traditional beeswax seal, the steel develops a rich, darkened tone that deepens with age and use — a natural finish that protects the metal while celebrating its forged character.
Every piece is made entirely by hand in my small forge in the heart of the Fens, Cambridgeshire. No two are exactly alike; subtle variations and tool marks remain as quiet evidence of the hammer, the anvil, and the human hand behind the work.
