This hand-forged house sign and bracket is crafted from solid 12mm x 50mm flat bar mild steel, designed to be both strong and timeless. The bracket projects approx. 400mm from the wall, while the sign measures 350mm x 300mm.
Your sign can be personalised with your own design — simply send me a rough sketch and I’ll send you a proof to approve before forging begins.
Finished with a traditional beeswax coating, the steel takes on a deep, blackened sheen that echoes the look of classic wrought iron. Over time, it will weather naturally, developing its own character while remaining strong outdoors.
Each bracket and sign is handmade in my small forge in the heart of the Fens, Cambridgeshire. Subtle hammer marks and slight variations are part of their unique charm — the unmistakable signs of true blacksmith craftsmanship.
